For over 20 years, Jo has found joy in her work as a supervisor – working alongside professionals who explore and stretch their practice to bring themselves into greater service of others. Jo currently leads programs training experienced executive coaches to become supervisors in UK & Europe, Asia & Africa. She runs a busy and diverse international practice as an executive coach and psychotherapist; and provides psychologically minded supervision to coaches, counsellors and psychotherapists, medical/surgical consultants and specialist practitioners. Jo’s life-long desire to play her part in creating a just world has been fulfilled through leadership roles, and continuous voluntary work, within NGOs in the UK and abroad, and the thread of making a difference in the world is evident throughout her career. Previously Series Editor for Thinking Global in Coaching Today, Jo has written numerous articles on supervision and leadership. She is currently compiling contemporary works for a cutting-edge book on Coaching Supervision as part of EMCC Routledge Mastery Series. Jo is Director with Coaching Supervision Academy (CSA); CSA Asia Pacific & Africa; International Centre for Reflective Practice; NGO Trustee and holds a Public Appointment with Scotland’s Children’s Hearings. Jo was founding executive member of BACP Coaching and later Chair (2012 – 2014); she is currently an active member in leading professional forums, Global Supervisors’ Network and Association for Coaching, which extend and enrich the coaching profession.
