I knew that coaching would be a beneficial experience but I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I quickly learned that unlike mentorship, coaching requires you to develop solutions to your professional pain points. I thought to myself, “but how can I create solutions when I am in the thick of the challenge?”. However, after working closely with my coach for the past 6 months, I have gained tools to seive through the issue/challenge and not only find low-hanging fruit solutions but also to rise to the occasion. It is so empowering to know that I have the tools and knowledge to create a way forward and I believe that this was my biggest take away from my coaching experience.
