Michelle Montserrat Oliva is a seasoned coach, trainer, and advisor with over 15 years of experience, collaborating with corporate, nonprofit, and public sector organizations across the US and internationally. She holds a Leadership Coaching Certificate from Georgetown University and an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona. Michelle's diverse background includes serving as a Peace Corps volunteer, working in more than 15 countries across the US, Europe, East and Southern Africa, Central America, and South Asia.
Certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a coach and organizational development advisor, Michelle embraces the belief that "people are, by their very nature, creative, resourceful, and whole" (Co-Active Coaching). Committed to lifelong learning, she is a dedicated student of insight meditation and mindfulness. Michelle actively supports racial, social, and economic equity and justice through her work and community engagement, including pro bono service.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Michelle is a conservatory-trained musician (Manhattan School of Music) who, after a 20-year hiatus, returned to music in 2017. Drawing from her rich background, she brings a unique blend of experience in listening, learning, and adapting to various cultures and operating contexts. Michelle also integrates insights from the creative arts, neuroscience, and contemplative sciences into her coaching practice, fostering compassionate and interconnected leadership.
